Single Engine gearboxes

ASL / BSL

Our ASL and BSL gearboxes are the core of most of our drivetrain systems. The A/BSL gearbox family is characterized by its outstanding adaptability. Based on the many gearboxes already designed and delivered for all applications, our engineers design each gearbox exactly to customer requirements. The A/BSL gearboxes give us the ability to manufacture compact gearboxes with extremely high power density that not only meet all special requirements from noise emissions to shock requirements to the safe handling of complex military projects, but also set new standards.

We use the A/BSL gearboxes in our systems in a wide range of applications. They are used without clutches as AS transfer gearboxes as well as ASL with lamella clutch as a single-stage single in / single out gearbox unit or as BSL as a two-stage gearbox unit, also available in a gas turbine driven version BGS.

We cannot provide any specific performance data for our A/BS(L) gearboxes, as each A/BS(L) really reflects the customer's exact requirements. So far, however, we have built A/BS(L) with an output of between < 3,000 kW and > 40,000 kW. And we are looking forward to build smaller or larger gearboxes fitting exactly Your demand.

The scope of delivery is supplemented by a wide range of additional features for the propulsion system. Coolant components for marine applications, shaft brake and rotary devices, and external thrust bearings can be optionally included in the package.
